1 June 2020 to 31 August 2022 - PROJECT CLOSED

Videos about Janus

Europe’s workforce needs to get back in motion in a safe manner. Social distancing is currently the most important factor we can control in the outbreak. We come with a peer-to-peer solution, a wearable device that will enable workforce distancing, tracing, and tracking of potential incidents limiting the spread of disease and further disruption to business operations. The prototype exists, we plan to rapidly test and deploy it in offices, retail and industrial settings with employers and employees. The token exploits a proven combination of Bluetooth Low Energy and Ultra-wideband wireless technologies, with low power consumption, cost-efficient design, and centimeter-level ranging precision, suitable to efficiently measure human interactions, interoperable with major systems including smartphones without the need for further investment in infrastructure. The products are also GDPR compliant by using only traceable, anonymized token keys without access to personal information.

The project has been coordinated by Prof. Picco – DISI – University of Trento
